Drop a screenshot beside a session and it is context. Circle a paragraph and the agent next to it knows which paragraph you meant. Draw an arrow from a note to a card and you have said where to look, without typing a path.

You stop describing your context. You point at it.

Hold the Pencil, talk, and your words land as a prompt on the card you are pointing at. No keyboard, no switching hands. It is the fastest way to brief an agent while you are still drawing the thing you want.

A board is not only yours, either. Two people on one canvas, watching the same sessions run, writing around each other in real time. The long version of this product is the best way for two people to think together.

A graph makes you declare every relationship. A canvas lets one stay implicit until you can name it.

Why it feels different from the other canvases.

Most AI canvases are node graphs wearing a canvas costume: you pick a node type from a menu, a box appears, and you type inside the box. You cannot write between the boxes, because there is no between. A surface lets you mark anywhere and find the structure later, which is the order thinking actually happens in.

Three things have to be true at once, and the combination is the hard part. A notebook has the surface and the sync. A terminal canvas has the agents. Nobody has all three.
